ABOUT SPRAY TANNING
Our spray tans are a professional, high-quality tanning treatment designed to give you a natural-looking, streak-free glow without exposure to harmful UV rays. Whether you’re looking for a subtle radiance or a deep bronzed finish, there’s a shade to suit every skin tone and preference.
How spray tanning works
The active ingredient in spray tanning is DHA (Dihydroxyacetone), which reacts with the amino acids in the top layer of your skin. This reaction creates a natural-looking colour that develops over time. It only affects the outer layer of skin, meaning your tan will gradually fade as your skin naturally renews itself.
How your tan develops
After your appointment, you’ll notice an instant guide colour, which helps your technician apply the tan evenly. This will continue to develop over the next 6–8 hours (or as advised), deepening into your final result. Once fully developed, you’ll rinse off the guide colour to reveal your finished tan underneath. Your tan will continue to deepen after the guide colour is rinsed away!

- Light glow – perfect if you want a subtle, natural boost without going much darker
- Medium tan – a classic sun-kissed look
- Dark/deep tan – for a richer, more noticeable bronze

Booking tips
When booking your appointment, please include your preferred shade or depth of tan in the notes so we can prepare the most suitable solution for you.
If you are a new client, you will need to order and complete a patch test at least 48 hours before your appointment.
Additional tips for best results
- Your tan will typically last 5–10 days depending on your skin type and aftercare
- Moisturising daily will help extend the life of your tan
- Avoid long baths, chlorine, and exfoliating products after your tan to prevent premature fading
- The tan will fade gradually and evenly when properly maintained

WHAT TO DO BEFORE YOUR SPRAY TAN?
To achieve the best possible results from your Sienna X spray tan, proper preparation is essential. Follow these simple steps to ensure an even, long-lasting glow:
Exfoliate thoroughly
- 24-48 hours before your appointment, exfoliate your entire body to remove dead skin cells. Pay extra attention to dry areas such as elbows, knees, ankles, and hands. This helps create a smooth base for the tan to develop evenly.
- Avoid moisturisers, oils, and deodorant on the day
- On the day of your tan, do not apply moisturiser, perfume, deodorant, or makeup. These products can create a barrier on the skin and may interfere with the tanning solution, leading to uneven results.
Hair removal
- Complete any shaving at least 24 hours (48hrs if waxing) before your appointment. This allows your pores to close and prevents irritation or uneven tanning.
- Wear loose, dark clothing
- After your tan, you’ll need to wear loose-fitting, dark clothing to avoid rubbing or marking the developing tan. Tight clothes can cause streaking or patchiness.
- Remove jewellery and nail products if needed
- Take off all jewellery before your appointment. While nail polish can usually stay on, ensure nails are clean and free from oils or lotions.
- Stay dry before your appointment
- Avoid activities that may cause sweating or getting wet prior to your tan, as moisture can affect how the solution applies to your skin.
Plan your timing
-Allow your tan to develop for the recommended time advised by your technician (usually 6–8 hours or as directed) before showering. Avoid scheduling workouts, swimming, or activities involving water during this period.
